Morlanda B&B in the heart of Sweden’s hottest tourist area

Orust is the large green island on Sweden’s west coast. Here you’ll find culture trails and hiking trails, refreshing sea swims, charming fishing villages, granite cliffs, sandy beaches, and of course, delicious food.

At Morlanda B&B, you’ll have a beautiful view over the Malö Strömmar. The ferry to Malö, Flatön and Ängön is just minutes away. Another ten to twelve minutes will take you to the ferry to Gullholmen and Käringön. And why not visit Morlanda church? Dating back to the early Middle Ages, home to Sweden’s oldest church organ. 

In the mood for shopping? Göksäter is only ten minutes away, and Torp Shopping Centeris about a half-hour drive. In nearby Lysekil you can visit the marine center Havets Hus and on Tjörn (our southern neighbor island) you’ll find the Nordic Watercolour Museum in Skärhamn and the unique outdoor art experience Sculpture at Pilane, set among ancient stone circles and grazing sheep. It’s also not far to the family favorite Nordens Ark, a wildlife park for endangered species. Fancy a kayak adventure? You can rent kayaks nearby on Malö, Flatön and at Stocken. Enjoy great meals at the Golf Restaurant and at Fröken Trulls just a short walk away. In nearby Ellös you’ll find several restaurants and during the summer you’ll have plenty of options: excellent places to eat can be found in Mollösund, Hälleviksstrand, Nösund, on Flatön, Käringön and Gullholmen.
